» CHIEF ENGINEER FOR 120 ft MOTOR YACHT (CHARTER/PRIVATE)

Work Information:

Busy 120 ft motor yacht (charter) requires a Chief engineer between the ages of 30 to 45. Very busy charter yacht, cruising the Mediterranean. The yacht is currently in the Mediterranean and will be dropping off a charter in Naples middle of September 2010 and will be back in the south of France by September the 17th 2010. Requires some one who is a team player, honest, reliable and conscientious, must have strong yard period and refit skills. Most refit periods are completed in Ft Lauderdale, sometimes can be completed in the Mediterranean. Six week annual leave per year, full insurance provided, 1 flight home annually paid for, and annual salary review. Christmas bonus. All crew have been on the yacht for a long time (average 3-4 years). The yacht runs with 7 crew and 8 with a heavy charter schedule. Owner is very good, supports the yacht extremely and is generous and understands engineering needs. Owner is considering too move up to a larger yacht (50m) in 2011. The yacht does do both the Med and Caribbean seasons with Ft Lauderdale being the main base. Surfing, diving, sports-fishing (we tow a 30ft sports fisher) golf etc interests welcome but not necessary. Australian captain, mainly Australian and kiwi crew.

Handover time for successful candidate will be after the Monaco Boat show- Sept 25, 2010 and prior to loading on Dock wise Oct 6th 2010

Dock wise transporting Touch to Martinique for up to 5 months in Caribbean followed by yard period in Ft Lauderdale

Qualifications

Minimum Y4 (current engineer Y3), STCW95, current B1/B2 visa and ENG1 medical. Strong electrical skills, electronics and IT as well as mechanical skills.

» 2ND ENGINEER ON 90M SAILING YACHT

Work Information:

A 90M Sailing Yacht, cruising now in the South Pacific, requires a Second Engineer. The ideal candidate would be in their mid to late 20's or early 30's.

The yacht is currently in Tahiti and set to head to New Zealand and Australia. They offer a two month on two month off rotation after completion of a successful trial period. The boat pays for flights.

Qualifications

Y3 minimum or equivalent.
Mechanically excellent and electrically competent
Preferably computer literate to a good standard
Some yacht experience would be preferred but not essential

» CHIEF ENGINEER POSITION ON A 54M KETCH (PRIVATE NO CHARTERS)

Yacht Information:

A 54M privately used sailing ketch is looking for a Chief engineer to join their crew of 11. The yacht generally runs with 10 guests but usually only 6-8 guests come on board.

The owner and guests are Italian. English is the first language onboard (operating language of the ship) however various members of the crew also speak Italian, Spanish, French and Tagalong. As with all roles onboard, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all other aspects of shipboard life (driving tender, sail handling, anchor watch etc).

Non-smoking vessel with zero drug tolerance. Vessel has a Drug and Alcohol policy in place which involves a pre-employment drug test, and random or with cause testing throughout period of employment. The Gross tonnage of the yacht is 178gt. The yacht has twin 470hp Lugger main Engines, 67kw Northern Lights generators. The yacht was built in 1902 but has gone through extensive refits of the years. The yacht is British registered. The engineer will be expected to join the yacht in Northern Queensland, will have a one week hand over period with the engineer. Must Not Get Sea sick, Non Smoker and no visible Tattoos

Extra information: 13th month bonus pay at the end of 12 month contract, 30 days paid leave per annum. You will share a cabin with the 2nd engineer.

Itinerary

Northern Queensland, Darwin heading to Singapore, Phuket, Thailand, Andaman Islands for Christmas, returning to the med in 2011 via South Africa around Cape of Good Hope and up the Atlantic.

» A HEAD CHEF POSITION ON 47M MOTOR YACHT (PRIVATE)

Yacht Information:

A 47m motor yacht is currently searching for a Head Chef to join their crew of 8. The yacht is currently based in Sydney, travels to the Whitsunday Islands in the winter months. Australian owner and Australian crew on board this is a very high profile owner. The position is non-live aboard and mostly weekend use allowing a shore base residence. (5.5 week required) You would be required to pay for you own accommodation. When the yacht is in the Whitsunday Islands you will be required to live aboard. Work insurance and 4 weeks annual leave is provided. A three month probation period is required and a 12 month or more commitment is expected. Candidate's need to be between Mid 20's to 37 years old. The yacht would prefer to employ crew from Australia or New Zealand however would consider crew from overseas on the condition they had citizenship and are legal to work in Australia for more than 2 years.

Itinerary

Sydney and Whitsunday Islands in the winter months.

Qualifications

AMSA STCW95, Must have Chef qualifications and have a high standard of food and presentation. Owner's main likes are Kosher food. The level of Kosher will need to be discussed with the captain if you should obtain an interview. Candidate must have worked on super yachts for at least 6-12 months, preferred but not essential and good knowledge in provisioning and menu planning is required.

» STEWARD/ESS/COOK POSITION ON BOARD 96FT MOTOR YACHT (AUSTRALIAN FLAGGED) (Private)

Yacht Information:

A 96FT motor yacht both private is currently searching for Steward/ess/Cook to join their crew 3. The yacht is currently in Hamilton Island. The crew-member will need to be between the ages of 20-45 years old. The candidate will need to be well presented and have a good attitude and is prepared to work as a good team member. Good eye to detail and a strong knowledge within the interior department.

Have strong cooking skills, must have strong table service skills, will need to be a well organised person with a calm attitude. Be clean and tidy in the Galley. The type of food you will be required to cook is as follows: Seafood, steak, healthy salads, Asian stir fries, just all-round good healthy food. Not only taste good but also look good. (Good quality food that is well presented).

Qualifications

STCW95, stewardess training or has worked on super yachts before. Strong knowledge in table service and a good strong knowledge in cooking. Must have cooked on yachts before.

» STEWARDESS POSITION ON A 50M SAILING YACHT (PRIVATE)

Work Information:

A 50m sailing yacht that is currently in Australia, is searching for a stewardess/nursing background to join their crew of 9. The candidate needs to be 26 years old and up. The preferred candidate will need to have 6 months or more experience on sailing yacht, however not a must. Must enjoying sailing. You will be working with a team of 3 and rotating your duties between service, cabins and laundry. Owner is Irish/Canadian and a very nice relaxed laid back family. Having massage qualifications and experience would be an advantage as you may be required to massage owner once or twice a week. Medical insurance and annual holidays are provided, 2.5 days per month per rata. The yacht will pay for flights to yacht within the south pacific, if you are in Europe or the states, flight arrangements will be discussed. Nationalities of crew on board arrange from Australian, Kiwi, British and American. A one year comment would be required.

Qualifications

STCW95, Nursing back ground would be a bonus. Some sailing experience is a bonus, or entry level sailing is acceptable. Having some steward/ess training would be an advantage. First timers are accepted on the condition they have some form or maritime training.
