Crew Pacific's Crew Placement Contract — Conditions and Fees

Crew Pacific is A Professional Placement Agency based in Cairns, Queensland, (Australia), which provides experienced and qualified crew from all over the world for the Luxury Super Yachts and Mega Yacht Industry.

How Crew Pacific’s Recruitment agency works?

Before crew are entered into Crew Pacific’s data base system, Crew Pacific guarantees a series of interviewing methods, which have taken place to ensure that the crew is up to the Super Yacht standards and that they hold the current tickets required for the position. We can forward resumes, reference checks and written references of each applicant with photo attachments to you, either by e-mail or fax.

All information given to Crew Pacific is confidential at all times, unless otherwise stated.

Clients Fee Policy:

Before clients accept resumes they are required to abide by the terms and conditions of this contract. It is agreed that the Owner, Captain, or Representative appoints Crew Pacific to provide resumes of crew to be considered for employment, and agrees to pay for services rendered.

Fee Terms:

  • Full-Time Employment:         75% of the first month’s salary
  • Seasonal Employment:         45% of first month’s salary
  • Temporary Employment:      35% of the first week’s salary
  • NOTE: When you employ a Crewmember from Crew Pacific for Temp or a Seasonal position and the candidate completes the duration of the temp and seasonal terms and then you offer the crewmember a full-time position it is the Captains, Owners, or Representatives responsibility to contact Crew Pacific within 48 hours. You will be then charged the outstanding amount for a full-time position.
    When Crew Pacific submits candidates to you and you do not choose the candidates for that position at that time, however at a later date you choose one of candidates, it is the Captains, Owners and Representative responsibility to contact Crew Pacific within 48 hours.

    Communication Fees:

    Any Satellite costs incurred by Crew Pacific at the Owner, Captain, or Representative’s request will be charged accordingly to the client, at a rate of AUD$10 per minute.

    Submitting Resumes:

    Because of the transient nature of the yachting industry, it is agreed that a credit card number or a fixed address will be provided, to Crew Pacific, which can be arranged over the phone, fax or email, before the submission of resumes to the client, for consideration of employment.

    It is agreed that the Captain, Owner, or Representative’s informs Crew Pacific within 48 hours, of the crew they have chosen to interview for the position, or if they require further resumes.

    Employment Details:

    When a candidate has been chosen it is the Captains, Owners or Representative’s responsibility to inform Crew Pacific, within 48 hours of the conditions of employment, such as candidate’s name, start date of employment, position, and salary.

    Payment Conditions:

    After the crewmember has worked out throughout their probation period, full payment of placement fees will be required within seven days. If payments are not received within in seven days you will be liable to pay interest of 2.5% per day, including any and all costs recoverable under the contract.
